This is the story of an Essex farmer's son who was christened into the Church of England, brought up in that faith but educated at a Quaker co-educational boarding school.

He spent time in India as part of the 17 Indian Division in the 14th Army in the Burma Campaign.

These memoirs are a tribute to the men of the Corps and members of the Fourteenth Army for their comradeship and for the privilege of serving with them.

This copy is signed by the author Roger Browning with a dedication to the previous owner.

The book is in Very Good condition with no marking (other than mentioned signing) to covers or pages.
