Product description

The book has green cloth-covered boards and spine. The spine has the book title and the author's name in faint gilt script. The lower spine and part of the rear cover are discoloured by white pigment (or possibly mould). There is little bumping to the corners or much shelf wear. The hinges are in good condition. The front free endpaper has the name of a previous owner, dated 1956. The pages are well cut and are slightly discoloured with age. The book has several ink-drawn houses in the village, including the New House and the Old House as the frontispiece.
