Kegan Paul hardback 1924 no author 157pp with epilogue. No dust jacket Overall very good condition. Blue boards with gilt lettering. Slight cockling on front and back board, as illustrated. Some shelf wear top and bottom of spine. Corners slightly bumped. Boards slightly splayed. Page edges lightly foxed. Ffep and rfep tanned. Odd bit of foxing in the text block. Otherwise in very good condition, binding intact and sturdy.

Title page describes this as " ...a true story. Two lovers separated on earth by misunderstanding and force of circumstances, come together when the man has been dead two years and all is explained; a year later a child is born and though the child is not their child in the physical sense, in the mystical, he is the product of their love. The tale... is given to the world for the comfort of others. "


In the introduction the medium who is thanked for his interventions, is JJ Vango, who appears in Conan Doyle's History of Spiritualism describing the return of another dead soldier.
