This set includes the exhibition catalogue of the same title that was held in 2014, co-presented with the University of Oxford. Two Chinese manuscript rutters were featured along with the famous Selden Map in this exhibition. The full versions of the two rutters are included in the catalogue. The Selden Map has aroused many discussions in the scholarly world, therefore, in June 2014 the Museum held an international symposium inviting 19 international participants to present on their recent research on China's ancient maritime trade surrounding this treasurable map.
