Memories of Wychbold Before the Motorway

£18.99

Product description

Memories of Wychbold Before the Motorway offers a fascinating insight into the lives of the people who lived in the village just prior to and the years following the Second World War. The author moved to the village in 1939 when his father was appointed village policeman and the family left in 1955.

The book takes the form of a guided tour around the village and describes each of the cottages and their occupants individually. It is illustrated with 128 black and white photographs and contains a detailed inventory of the village's inhabitants.

White card covers with blue lettering and black and white photograph to front, black lettering to spine. It is generally in good condition with only slight bumping and creasing to the front cover. There are several written amendments in the book and a pasted-in errata sheet at the front which could mean that this is the author's own copy.
