Merchant Ships 1937

£120.00

Product description

Over 500pp. An exhaustive compilation of the merchant ships of the world, illustrated with colour plates of the flags of each nation and scale drawings of each ship, many of which will have been lost in WW2. Unusually, the title page contains a stamp stating that 'A charge of 42'- will be made if this book is damaged or lost' while the foreword page contains a stamp encouraging readers to buy 'The South and East African Yearbook and Guide' from the ship's hairdresser. The top and bottom edges to the spine are worn with some loss while the corners of the boards are bumped. The contents are generally clean and tight, with some staining to the edge of the block. The first few pages contain advertisements and have minor damp damage to the top edge. Due to its weight of 3.1kg, this book may incur extra delivery costs. This is dependent on your location and you will be asked to confirm any additional charges before your order is finalised.
