Old Toddington - A picture history of this attractive Bedfordshire village from the early nineteenth-century to the present day

£7.99

Product description

The book is in good condition, with most damage to the dust jacket limited to slight bending at the top edge and a small tear at the bottom of the back cover. The dust jacket is beige with brown lettering and includes a photo of Toddington from the church tower circa 1950's on the front and a map of Toddington from 1882 on the back. Internally the book is in excellent condition.

This book looks at the recent history of Toddington in Bedfordshire, primarily through various photographs and images. With sketches dating from the start of the nineteenth century and photographs from as early as 1854 to as recent as 1983, the book initially starts around the village, before focusing on St Georges Church and the local manor. It then looks at other buildings, businesses, local personalities and groups, before showing a number of images from historic occasions within Toddington. The book ends with the appendix listing important dates in the history of the village.
