Plymouth Blitz - The Story of the Raids

£12.00

Product description

Mostly a photographic account of Plymouth before the air raids of World War II and showing the consequences of the air raid bombardment between 30th June 1940 and April 30 1944. With a map attached to the inside back cover. Includes three newspaper cuttings which appeared in The Western Morning News dated 1981 and titled "The Blitz Story No.1, The Blitz Story No.2 (showing a reproduction of The Western Morning News dated Saturday March 22 1941) , and The Blitz Story No. 3".

The cover is in poor condition, with rubbing of the spine and folding of some corners and there is some staining on one corner which suggests water/liquid damage. However, the pages are clean and unmarked apart from slight staining in one corner and this and the condition of the cover does not interfere with appreciation of the content of this book.
