River Wye Basin Hydrological Survey - Hydrometric Area No. 55

WAS £19.99 £9.99

Product description

In 1959 the Central Advisory Water committee, which was appointed by the Minister of Housing and Local Government, published the first report of their Sub-Committee on the Growing Demand for Water. This report recommended that detail hydrological surveys should be carried out to involve a "comprehensive examination in each river basin of rainfall and run-off, public and private sources of supply, effluent discharges, re-use of water and potential storage sites."

The Surface Water Survey Centre of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government was accordingly instructed to prepare this survey of the River Wye Basin, which is the eleventh in the series.

The document contains a number of fold-out maps.

There is bumping and some tanning to the covers of the document and some tears to the top and bottom of the spine. On a few of the pages is a small stamp for the University of Bristol Library. Other than that, the pages are clean and the binding is firm.
