When Rockdale Council commissioned the late Philip Geeves to prepare an account of the history of the Municipality in the early 1950s, he wrote in the Foreword: "Our earliest settlers in the district have left us only slender evidence of their personalities and activities whereas the documentation of our later history is abundant. I have set out to balance these two factors, in order that the pattern of progress may be followed.

Clear film dustjacket which is lightly scuffed. Blue fabric boards with silver text to front and spine. Slight bumping and shelf damage to lower edges. Blue endpapers. Personal inscription from previous owner on flyleaf. Text block is solid and clean, free from annotation and marginalia. Blue place marker ribbon.
