The Celtic Element of the English People

£12.99

Product description

John Davies wrote a number of papers on the Celtic element of the English people that were published in the later pat of the nineteenth century. These papers have been brought together in book form and are here published as facsimiles of the original. Davies's findings indicated that the original population of many counties had not been pushed westwards or displaced by the arrival of the Angles and the Saxons, but that a new language had been imposed upon them. Llanerch brought out this reprint because of the renewed interest in the subject created by D.N.A. studies of populations.

Paperback book in very good condition with some slight shelf wear, with one noticeable crease on the back but otherwise pristine.
