"Special Edition" prepared for subscribers. Used hardbacks. Four volumes. No date. No dust jackets. Each volume in good condition. Light wear (slight bumping to corners of boards, tops and tails of spines) externally to each volume. Varying degrees of staining (mildew?) to the boards, Vol III least affected, Vol II most affected and mostly on the rear board. Internally, the books are clean with sound bindings and no loose pages. Each has a small red collector's stamp towards the front or back. Vol I: crack in binding to rear of half title page. Vol II: slight tanning to last two pages; small brown stain to bottom of rear paste down and free end paper. Vol III: tanning to ffe. Vol IV: gutter break at end of text, foxing to last page of index and rear free endpaper and to the rear paste down. Each volume 472 pages. Vol IV an additional 12 pages of index.
