More than 100 sketches with brush and pen from a British war artist despatched by the Admiralty to record the activities of the Royal Navy off the coastline of Egypt, Palestine and Lebanon in 1918. In conjunction with his substantial diary-based text, the author provides an excellent description of the barely cooled battlefields of the Palestine Campaign. There is no foxing or damp to any of the Fine condition pictures, many of which are in colour. The boards of this badly made book, however, are worn as usual. The rear board has its paper cover worn from all edges & both corners and the front board has the same with some paper missing.
