About: The Talisman takes place at the end of the Third Crusade, mostly in the camp of the Crusaders in Palestine. Scheming and partisan politics, as well as the illness of King Richard the Lionheart, are placing the Crusade in danger. The main characters are the Scottish knight Kenneth, a fictional version of David of Scotland, Earl of Huntingdon, who returned from the third Crusade in 1190; Richard the Lionheart; Saladin; and Edith Plantagenet, a relative of Richard.

BOOK DAMAGE
OVERALL CONDITION: Due to the books age I would consider this book to be in good condition as there are no structural problems with the book and the pages for the most part are in a reasonable condition.
PAGES: the first few pages have quiet a lot of foxing and tanning. the majority of the pages have very mild foxing (and no tanning), varying from non to very mild foxing. the book has been made with uncut pages and as a result the edges of the pages are quiet rough and look moderately tanned. the pictured page next to the title page has a 3cm tear in it.
COVER: the cover is in reasonably good condition however there is very mild edge wear, very mild corner bumping and wear, and the spine cover has become slight discoloured due to storage next to other book exposing it too more elements than the front/back cover. the front cover face has almost no defects. the back cover face has a few defects that can be seen in photos.
BINDING: the book's pages are bound very well and show no signs of breaking.
