The book is in very good condition. The binding is sound. There is slight bumping to the top of the dust jacket, and on the back a small mark where a label was once affixed. The contents are clean and unmarked.
The text is in English and Chinese. The preface is by Julian Thompson and the introduction by Yutaka Mino. The book includes some reflections on the beginnings of China’s ceramic traditions by Clarence F Shangraw.
The book is likely to appeal to those with an interest in Chinese ceramics or ceramics in general. The ceramics described are beautifully presented in the colour plates which can be enjoyed in their own right.
