Time and Traditions : essays in archaeological interpretation / Bruce Trigger

£4.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket is faded along and near the spine and the top edges and has some wear, but is otherwise in very good condition and the boards are very clean. Internally there is a small smear in the margin on page 2, but otherwise the pages are in very good condition - clean, tight and unmarked.

Book is in very good condition considering its age (published 1978). The dust jacket is slightly worn, but the boards are very clean and the pages are clean and unmarked. "The concise format of an essay may compel an author to express his key ideas with a clarity that is often lacking in longer works. This is particularly likely when essays deal with theoretical issues as part of an extended programme of research. The main theme that animates these essays is the conviction that a better understanding of the past, as distinguished from formulating timeless laws about human behaviour, is itself of value and therefore a worthy goal for archaeologists. Such an understanding of prehistory is an integral aspect of the scientific investigation of human behaviour."
