A.B.C of Home Decoration

£3.99

Product description

An old book of about 60 years old, describing some old-fashioned techniques for home decoration. It, of course, somewhat outdated in some areas - it recommends lead paint in some areas, which is of course banned nowadays due to discoveries of lead's toxicity. However, this book also has information regarding skills and tools that may prove useful for more practical decoration scenarios, as it has advice regarding the safe use of ladders, all the tools required for a job and even techniques not commonly used today, like cutting glass for glazing or re-glazing. Although the single-glaze windows the section was written for are increasingly uncommon, this skill may still be useful for certain jobs. Recommended for anybody interested in redecorating their home and searching for advice from other sources.

This book is in good condition overall. It has suffered a small amount of shelf wear (including a slight bend in the cover), and is missing its dust jacket. However, the dust jacket succeeded in protecting the book from most damage, as the cover is mostly clean aside from a couple scratches and marks. The pages are all intact and clean, and the spine is sturdy.
