This guide to the most traditional item of rural working dress, the smock, gives instructions for cutting and sewing the garment, then decorating with authentic embroidery designs. These designs are featured on full-size patterns and range from an Essex milkmaid's smock to that of a Worcestershire gardener.;The decorative designs included are: Oxfordshire; Dorset woodman; Warwickshire shepherd wedding smock; Welsh; Essex and Hertfordshire carter; Buckinghamshire; Essex milkmaid; Staffordshire and Shropshire gardener; Shropshire woodman; Worcestershire gardener; Cambridgeshire; Hampshire shepherd; Warwickshire shepherd.
Includes all twelve embroidery patterns in unused condition in pockets inside the back and front cover.
The illustrated soft cover has only light shelfwear. The stapled binding is sound and the pages unmarked. It has a retailer's sticker on the title page.
