Two volumes published in 2009 by IISc Press.
Both include a coloured ordinance map of the Indian Institute of Science campus, a detailed glossary of necessary terminology complete with useful guides on leaf shape, apex, and differentiating between different groups of flora; complete with extensive colour photographs. A comprehensive index is found at the end of each guide giving the botanical name and species number of every plant found in each guide, along with a corresponding page number. Coloured photographs are is found throughout the book to illustrate every plant mentioned in the guide.
These guides give a concise introduction to the flora and plants found in the Indian Institute of Science campus. Hundreds of species of plants, trees and flora are presented in two volumes with photographs: Volume I showcases trees, palms, woody climbers, shrubs, herbs, succulents, cacti and orchids. Volume II covers trees, shrubs, trailers and climbers, herbs, grasses, sedges and cat-tails, plants of water and marsh, flowering parasites, non flowering seed plants and lower groups.
Condition is as new, arrived still sealed in plastic shrink wrap which has now been removed to aid our description of the books. Very tight bindings. Complete with dust jackets for both paperback volumes.
