The Living Garden

£15.00

Product description

Prof Salisbury brought great knowledge, enthusiasm and erudition to his happy combination of facts and operations related to the garden.  The book is  illustrated with well chosen black/ white pictures and line drawings by Gwendy Caroe, and is a study of the community of living things - plants, trees and weeds, that make up our gardens.
This copy has the rare cover, illustrated on front and spine with  line drawings.  The cover has faded to buff and has three significant tears (greater than 1cm), one of which has some loss.  The book, bound in green with gilt lettering on the spine and front and another lovely embossed line drawing,  is in very good condition.
