Wayside & Woodland Blossoms - Series I

£9.99

Product description

Wayside & Woodland Blossoms - First Series, by Edward Step. Revised by Arthur Keith Jackson of the Herbarium, Royal Botanic Gardens, KEW. Published by Frederick Warne & Co, Ltd, 1946.

A guide to British wild-flowers, Wayside & Woodland Blossoms makes as great an appeal to the unskilled lover of flowers as to those deeply versed in botany, for technical terms are used only sparingly and the descriptions are given in language easily understood by the layman. "The work is a classic and undoubtedly supersedes all former books of the same kind" - The Queen.

The book is in very good condition, considering its age. Spine perfectly intact with all writing and illustrations clearly visible. Dust jacket is worn with some tears near to the edges, but remains largely in good condition. Some brown marks on pages due to age. Contains various pressed flowers and leaves throughout. Presumed name of previous owner written on one of the opening pages.

Editions of the Second and Third Series also available.
