The Way of the Pulse

£5.99

Product description

The concept of the Pulse is the summation and culmination of Dr. Diamond's forty years of experience in medicine psychiatry complementary medicine the humanities and music. Like the Tao the Way it signifies the movement of life from which all things flow. Dr. Diamond applies this concept encouraging each of us to play the drums to enhance our sense of how the Pulse actually feels. For once we feel this movement in music we can increasingly feel it in other aspects of life. This sense can help us to flow with events in a spirit of acceptance and gratitude rather than resisting them in the throes of struggle and conflict. This book is for all those who aspire to live a more creative and healthy life - to feel and to be moved by the Pulse. It represents a major step forward in our understanding of drumming as a therapeutic modality and life enhancing practice being knitted together by an underlying philosophy which embraces all of music and healing. Book is as new, clean and unmarked.

We have been trading in the town for many years now and have a well-justified reputation for supplying our regulars and visitors alike with both reading and listening material. As well as a varied music collection on both vinyl and CD, we stock a wide range of books from children's and collectibles to local interest and history - not to mention our extensive and well-stocked fiction section. Donations, both large and small, are always welcome and one of our experienced band of volunteers will, without exception, be available to assist you.
