Hardback with green cloth boards and titles in gilt to spine and cover, in good condition but with water damage, with resultant mould at bottom of corners, rear and front (6 x 6 cm). Spine has minor bumping top and tail. Dustjacket in very good minus condition, with affected by mould from the boards, in the same area. Back flap has a crease of 9 cm at bottom. Text block largely unaffected by water damage, just some slight crinkling on title page and to bottom edge of volume. Front endpapers have black and white photograph as illustration. Illustrated throughout by black and white photographs of organ pipes and pieces, as well as portraits and plans; also has frontispiece.
