With 12 colour and 10 black and white tipped in plates of illustrations by Pogany, plus many other in page illustrations and decorations by him. Orange borders to text pages. Printed by H. & J. Pillans & Wilson, Edinburgh. Undated but believed to be from the early 20th century.

Hardback book in fair to good condition. Grey/green boards with gilt titling and art nouveau style decoration. Ends of spine and corners bumped and chipped. Wear to edges and surfaces. Spine faded. Front joint splitting. Front end paper damaged, Otherwise internally good to very good, inluding all illustrations.

Oxfam Books & Music Berkhamsted

Located in the centre of the historic market town, we are open seven days a week. You will find a wide and interesting range of stock, including a great selection of children's books, popular and classical music on vinyl and CD, vintage Penguins and other paperbacks, and quirky and collectable items. Our stock is selected by knowledgeable volunteers, catering for both general readers and specialists. We are happy to check our backroom stock for wanted items and also offer a request service. Our themed windows are usually changed every two weeks, with our December Christmas displays offering a diverse and unusual range of gift ideas.

We welcome your donations, which can be brought to the rear of the building (via the Lower Kings Road Car Park). Please contact us before bringing large quantities to discuss arrangements.
