The Rolling Stones: Unseen Archives

£4.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

At nearly forty years the Rolling Stones have truly earned the title, they are the greatest rock and roll band in the world. Sex appeal, good humour and energy alone could not have kept them on top for so long. It is dedicated musicianship and enduring talent as songwriters and performers that has always underpinned their success. Their trails have been many but the Stones have weathered them all and retain astonishing crowd-pulling power, long defying any notions that young rockers can't roll on after they grow up. The whole story of the band is here illustrated with pictures from an extraordinary archive. All the raw power of their music, their high times, tragedies, triumphs and personal tribulations spanning decades of social change are shown, proving that rebels can be survivors too. Between them, the Rolling Stones have created the soundtrack for millions of lives an are inspirationally the kings of rock and roll. It hasn't faded away, the Stone age is forever. Overall in good condition, some slight rubbing to the book sleeve.

Oxfam Bookshop Hexham

We relocated in January 2016 to larger premises and are now able to offer a wider range of books and music (you can come and check out your musical choices in our listening booth and also find out a lot more about Oxfam's work.). We have a new local interest section, more space for history and have extended our craft and arts offer.  We also sell cards, fair trade food and ethical cleaning and beauty products.

Hexham is a market town situated in the beautiful Tyne Valley - the ideal stopping off point before exploring Hadrian's Wall, Chesters, Housesteads and the Temple of Mithras at Carrawburgh.
