Truffaut par Truffaut (French language book) / compiled by Dominique Rabourdin

WAS £9.99 £4.99

Product description

This book has text completely in French, but is lavishly illustrated with photographs of his life and his films, both from within the films and from behind the scenes. The book is in very good condition. The dust jacket has a 2cm tear near the base of the spine near the front and other small tears and wear along the edges, but is otherwise in very good condition. Internally the pages are in very good condition - clean, tight and unmarked (apart from a couple of instances of light ink transfer from one page to another).

Much has been written about François Truffaut. Because he is one of the most important and most engaging French filmmakers and because he is one of the few to have a real international audience. But the author of the Four Hundred Blows, Day for Night and The Last Metro spoke extensively on his films and himself; in interviews or in articles written for the release of his films. Passionate first-person documents from the archives of François Truffaut, the episodes of his life, his beginnings as a director; the Cahiers du Cinéma, the Nouvelle Vague. His ideas on cinema, technique, writing, improvisation, decor, music. Analyzes of each of his films, accompanied by unpublished documents and excerpts from scenarios. Throughout these pages, the same unforgettable voice reaches us, the rhythm of those films we have so loved.
