Secker & Warburg, London, 1983, first edition, hardback with dust jacket, 8vo, pp64.
Concentrating on one small area of coastal Yorkshire, A Winter Visitor takes in a wide range of subject matter, theme, mood and form, from personal and topographical history to flora and fauna, from the variations of inner and outer weather to inhabitants at work and play, and in many shapes and sizes from the briefest lyrics to narrative. This is a most beautifully unified collection, the most mature work Pete Morgan had so far produced.
Very good condition. Grey cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. boards are clean and undamaged as are the pages. Binding is tight. Dust jacket is in similarly very good condition. Not price clipped. Overall a very nice copy showing minimal, if any, signs of use.
