This is a collection of poems by June Jordan (July 9, 1936 – June 14, 2002), who was a Caribbean-American poet, essayist, teacher, and activist. She used her writing to discuss issues of gender, race, immigration, and representation. Condition: the front cover has a major tear (see photos). The covers and spine also show some marking and denting. The book’s edges display some water-damage. The interior pages are generally clean and bright, with some minor blemishes throughout. The spine is dried and cracked, and the binding is therefore slightly strained in some places.
