Poems Newly Decorated: The Monthly Chapbook

£15.99

Product description

"The Monthly Chapbook is published by the Poetry Bookshop between the 10th and 20th of each month.

It replaces the quarterly, Poetry And Drama, the publication of which was suspended at the end of 1914.

The Monthly Chapbook is a periodical miscellany. A different cover is designed for each number.

Its chief object is to provide a record of the poetry and drama of the day. Thus it publishes critical surveys of new literature, anthologies of poetry, small collections of poems or single long poems by individual authors, articles on the drama and plays, bibliographies, etc."

This volume contains eleven poems:
Song for a Dance by Francis Beaumont
Song by Thomas Campion
The Robin's Song by Richard Honeywood
Melancholy by Francis Beaumont
There is a Lady. Anonymous
Vespers by T. E. Brown
A Memory by William Allingham
The Parting by Michael Drayton
The Old by Roden Noel
An Ode by Matthew Prior
The Sad Day by Thomas Flatmas

Condition: used - fair. The cover page is foxed, has a couple of tears along the sides and is detached from the rest of the book. The rest of the book is in fairly good condition, with few signs of foxing on the pages. No pages are missing. The back page has a half-sheet-sized subscription form affixed to it and has some reddish-brown marks.
