Six Proust Poems [FACETS 2nd series / FACETS 3rd series]

£29.99

Product description

These two slim volumes are something of a curiosity, and also a mystery. Evidently the 2nd and 3rd volumes of a series called 'Facets', they contain poems by Alan Bates, who evidently was based in the East Midlands area, since they were sponsored by (variously) the East Midlands Arts Association, the Kettering Three Arts Club, and the National Poetry Secretariat. No information could be found about the poet or the artist (Stewart Mee). Interestingly, one poem is dedicated to the well-known writer Pamela Hansford Johnson.

Our copies are in excellent condition, considering their age and format, in pale yellow card outer covers with plastic spine grips (one white, one black). Title etc in black on the front, with black line illustrations (presumably portraits of the writer). A4 size, minimal external wear apart from slight grubbiness; pages clean and bright throughout.
