The book is in very good condition. This facsimile volume deals with the period 1819-1897, and covers the leading actors, singers, managers, etc of the period, the Kembles, Macready, Madame Vestris, etc, the staging of plays, etc. The appendices contain substantial information, eg a chronological list of patentees, lessees, and managers, principal events from 1732 to 1897, and such matters as a very detailed inventory of the theatrical properties and scenery at Convent Garden in 1743. Thus it contains a wealth of detail that may not be readily accessible elsewhere.
