The Shepherd's Pipe - Songs from the Holy Night

£14.99

Product description

This unpretentious yet hauntingly beautiful cycle of Christmas poems, first published in German in 1935, later translated into English by Jere Brunner, set to music as a children’s cantata by Marlys Swinger, revolves around the stable on Christmas Night. This book was produced by the Hutterian Society of Brothers.
Although the dust jacket has incurred chips and small tears to the upper edge, and the binding is bumped on the corners, the cream, yellow and deep red dust jacket with Christmas motifs remains attractive. Internally, apart from large corners having been clipped from the front free end paper and half title page, all text and music is clear on clean pages; there are delightful illustrations, some whole page or double page spreads.
