Collins New Complete Atlas

£90.00

Product description

The Collins New Complete Atlas, featuring 80 full-page maps and an Index of 50,000 names with Complete Gezzeter. Originally held in a Church Library, at the Church of St Mary VF, Govan Cross, the first end-paper features a Charming three-colour book plate dated 1911. The maps include geographical and political copies, and some have even greater detail, such as road maps and trade routes. In addition to the false-colour maps, it features an illustration of the Solar System, a map featuring the ocean currents and great river basins and a further map detailing the 'distribution of mankind', including inserts detailing prevalence of world religions and population density.

Book is in reasonable condition considering it is at least 100 years old. Has some shelf wear. Additionally, there are some scuff marks and the gilding of the title is fading in places. The first few interior pages have some speckling, but not detrimental to the overall quality of this charming atlas.
