Observer's Book of Airliners provides an invaluable pocket guide to the major types of aircraft used regularly by the world's airlines. ninety different airliners are described and illustrated with photographs and silhouettes through out, ranging from the newest products of such giants as Boeing, British Aerospace and Airbus to the elderly but still useful classics such as the DC- 3 and the Viscount. Here too will be found details of types yet to enter service when this book was published, among them Boeing 777 and a new generation of Soviet airliners being prepared for introduction in the nineties. Important smaller types are included too, although these have been restricted to those used for regularly scheduled services, with a minimum of 19 passenger seats. Data have been corrected to the beginning of 1991.
