This is a bound copy of volume 7, numbers 73 -84, of Edward Hine’s ‘Life From the Dead: being a national journal advocating the identity of the British nation with the lost ten tribes of Israel’. Edward Hine (1825-1921) was one of the leaders of the British Israelism movement which claimed that the British people were descended from the lost 10 tribes of Israel. ‘Life from the Dead’ was published monthly. This volume contains numerous articles, including: -
Balaam’s prophecies chiefly apply to Israel in Britain:
Ephraim and Manasseh;
Mr. Gladstone’s policy v. prophecy;
British-Israelite sayings;
The Great Pyramid;
The Hebrews in Britain;
Pork

Hine wrote other works including ‘Forty-Seven Identifications of the British Nation With Lost Israel’ and went on a lecture tour of the USA and Canada.

Condition: Used – Good. This book is well bound and is in good condition for its age, if slightly grubby. A pencil written name is faintly visible on the front end paper. This is not an ex-library book. There is no dust jacket. A small, printed label pasted on the title page gives Hine’s address, “From September 1882”, as 7 Beacontree Terrace, Mornington Road, Leytonstone, near London.
