The Apostolic Fathers Volume II

£13.99

Product description

The Apostolic Fathers were Christian theologians who lived in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, who are believed to have personally known some of the Twelve Apostles or were significantly influenced by them. Their writings, though popular in Early Christianity, were ultimately not included in the canon of the New Testament once it reached its final form. This book, the second of two volumes, includes 'The Shepard of Hermas', 'The Martyrdom of Polycarp' and 'The Epistle to Diognetus'. The works are written in both Greek and English, with the Greek text on the left page and the English translation on the right page.

The book is in good condition. There is no dust jacket and the spine is slightly faded from exposure, but there is little in the way of damage to the book externally aside from some very minor bowing and fading. Internally the first two pages include stickers and stamps of previous owners and the outermost pages are slightly browned with age, but otherwise the pages are clean, the binding strong and no loose pages.
