Block clean. Binding tight, Pages clean, with no annotations or tears.
Facsimile limited edition, with introduction, of William Chafin’s 1818 book on Cranborne Chase. The Chase was a lawless place in the 18thC and Chafin, of Chettle House, a parson and Magistrate, interpreted the law to his own convenience. The book tells many stories of the clashes between poachers and keepers.
