Developments in Psychiatry, 1982-1994

£19.99

Product description

Selected reviews from the British Journal of Hospital Medicine. This book updates and expands on issues presented in earlier reviews and addresses three broad criteria. First, those areas in which research advances have been most significant, e.g. our understanding of neurotransmitter substances and the use of brain-imaging techniques. Also included are subjects such as child psychiatry and specific psychiatric problems among women. Thirdly, some areas (e.g. psycho-social aspects of AIDS, violence and mental illness and community psychiatry) which have come quite recently to the forefront of public and professional concern, partly through the attention of the media.
This copy is in good condition. Outside white softcover is grubby, but inside pages are good and clean, with no marks.
