Evolution from Nebula to Man

£6.99

Product description

Joseph McCabe was an English writer and speaker on free-thought, after having been a Roman Catholic priest earlier in his life. Although he is now largely forgotten, he was "one of the great mouthpieces of free-thought in England". A staunch critic of the Catholic Church, McCabe joined groups such as the Rationalist Association and the National Secular Society. Although he criticised Christianity from a rationalist perspective, he was involved in the South Place Ethical Society which grew out of dissenting Protestantism and was a precursor of modern secular humanism.

Evolution from Nebula to Man Joseph McCabe is a little work which its dimensions will sufficiently prepare the reader to appreciate its scope. It gives no more than the broad outlines of the evolution of the earth and its inhabitants. The condition is fair with a small tear on the spine and some foxing on the cover but nothing to unsightly. The pages are a slightly discoloured but in good condition with no marks or tears.
