Ploughman's folly by Edward Faulkner. Published by Michael Joseph 1946 1st Edition. Hardback book with attractively illus unclipped dustjacket. 142 pages. The dustjacket is a little scruffy commensurate with age. There is evidence of shelf wear and and there is a small tear on the front, spine and rear. The dustjacket is also stained on the rear. The green boards are showing a significant amount of wear. Internally the pages are significantly tanned due to the book's age but other than this there are no internal tears or creases. There are significant marks on the front and rear end papers and a small pencil inscription on the rear end paper. A book that looks at the management of soil in agriculture in a revolutionary new way causing the book to sell many copies when first published in the United States.
