In a brilliant chilling series of nine short stories, the author chronicles robot development from its crude, mid twentieth century beginnings to a state of such perfection that a hundred years later robots are running man's world for his own good.

Third impression of an edition first published in 1967 by Dobson Books Ltd. A library copy that is overall in good condition with 'cancelled' stamped on both inside front cover and on title page. Black clothed hardboard cover with white lettering to the spine with gentle wear only with slight bumping to the top corner. The dust jacket covered in 'durasleeve' is in very condition. The pages are clean and the binding is tight except for one of the introductory pages which has come lose (see photo), there are some markings on a few of the pages as illustrated by the photos.

Oxfam Books & Music Taunton

Taunton is the county town of Somerset and the home of Somerset County Cricket. It is a great place to visit with a good variety of big name retail outlets and places to explore.

For example - The Taunton to Bridgewater Canal runs through the town and a footpath follows it - a walk which is so peaceful and interesting. The Somerset County Museum has many educational and interesting items and often has exhibitions of local and wider interest. Vivary Park with it's functioning bandstand. The park is situated close to the shopping centre it hosts the annual Taunton Flower Show and proves to be an absolute haven within the town - a place to relax and refresh yourself during a days shopping and looking around.

Oxfam Books and Music in Taunton can be found on Bridge Street right next to Taunton's bridge over the Canal.

An ideal day to donate is a Sunday (10am - 4pm) parking nearby in the Coal Orchard Car Park (Free on Sundays only).

We also have lovely mounted pictures and prints and a brilliant range of ethically sourced greetings cards and gifts along with Fair Trade food and environmentally sound beauty and household goods.
