You and The Refugee: The Morals and Economics of the Problem

£33.99

Product description

Subtitled: 'The Truth about Unemployment, Immigration and Depopulation', this book was first published in 1939. Published as a "Penguin Special". According to the blurb, "this book reveals in human and moving terms the plight of the victims of the Hitlerite terror". Very much a book of its time as it does not seem to consider the possiblity of war with Germany but focuses on the refugee crisis as it saw it then by emphasising that "the refugee often gives employment and proves an asset".
Book is in good condition for its age. Original dust jacket which is stained on the edges and has small tears at top of spine, as does the inside paperback cover. Front end paper is slightly torn. Foxing/browning to edge pages which extends slightly inside but does not reach the text.
