This is a multi-language book of nearly 50 Honiton lace patterns, ranging from simple designs suitable for the beginner, to advanced patterns incorporating rolled and raised work. The designs are based on flower shapes, traditional in Honiton lace. Each pattern is accompanied by five illustrations, including a photograph of the wrong (ie working side) of the lace. The brief written instructions are given in French, German, Dutch and English. Elsie Luxton is a lacemaker and tutor in many colleges in Britain, Holland, France and Germany and Yusaio Fukuyama is a Japanese designer.
Text and illustrations appear bright and unmarked. Light signs of shelfwear.
