Professor Harris was both a sporting enthusiast and an historian. He sadly died a few days before the typescript went to the publishers in 1975 and to our knowledge the book was never reissued. It covers tennis, cricket, rowing, football, athletics, winter and other sports. His arguments is that significant decisions and rulings, frequently occurring almost casually, had far-reaching consequences.

Hardback, green boards, with gilt lettering on spine in very good condition, but disfigured by black line at top of front board. d/j in protective cover intact but with one v large tear front right side.
