The Great Book of Britains

£175.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

At the age of 28 James Opie, starting with his collection of over 20,000 examples, set himself the task of collecting every toy soldier produced in Britain since 1893. 10 years on he had almost succeeded, and become the best known authority on the subject in the world. This very heavy book (may attract additional charges) is the result. It celebrated the 100th year of the making of toy soldiers in Britain.
Bound, landscape format, in blue cloth with white lettering on spine and front. Corners slightly bumped (befitting such a heavy book), jacket in red with illustration of toy soldiers and anniversary emblems on front, more toy soldiers on back, has faded around the spine and shows small wear marks.
