Tables of information pertaining to the book are also included, at the back of the book each table is listed alongside the page number it is on as a point of reference. Introduction written by the author. Comprehensive bibliography and index.

'The Modernisation and Re-equipment of British Railways report is better known simply as the Modernisation Plan. By this period in BR's history, the economics of the industry had started to deteriorate dramatically. With the 60th anniversary of the Modernisation Plan approaching, now is the ideal opportunity to look in detail at the causes and effects of the Plan, drawing upon material from the various archives much of which was unavailable to earlier historians of the period.'

Condition is Very Good/As New. A tiny scratch near the bottom left hand corner of the back cover is the only fault. Pages are are faultless with a tight/unread binding.
