This book sets out to acquaint the designer with the most useful approach to suit his needs and thus provides resumes of different methods obtained from a wide range of sources all referenced for further reading. The work considers the primarily concept stage of design in relation to the load envelope applying to the vehicular structure, then progresses to the examination of thin - walled beam and plate theory, an introduction to idealization technique, and a consideration of collapse behaviour under impact and fatigue loading. Two specialist chapters deal with designing for production and goods vehicle design.

Aimed primarily at the automotive body designer, the book will also be of interest to vehicle engineers and designers in related disciplines (e.g. suspension and power-train) and to vehicle engineering students at second year degree/HND level. The presentation is such as to appeal additionally to the car enthusiast and special - builder seeking a deeper understanding of design approaches used in industry.

Condition: Very Good. Pages have no rips or marks on and free from foxing or tanning. Slight rip in dist jacket on back sleeve. Excellent condition including spine. See photos.
