An Outlander in England: Being Some Impressions of an Australian Abroad

£5.99

Product description

Every one sees the world differently, and in this historic piece of travel writing, the author gives his individual and honest impressions of England and Australia. Abbott's chapters appeared serially in The Spectator and some in The Daily Telegraph. This 1905 edition includes a preface by the author acknowledging the critical response when the chapters of the book first appeared in newsprint.

This copy is in a fair condition in light of its impressive age. The red cloth boards are faded and discoloured, but remain in tact. The title and author's name are embossed on the front and written beautifully in gold lettering along the spine. There is some softening around the edge and the corners of the cover. The pages are browned with age spots and there is a pencilled price on the first page, other than this they remain free of any markings.
