2) The story of the masses of white herons which come to the village and the traditions around them.
3) The village today; a guide to the many crafts for which it is famous.

The author this book is also an artist, and some of his drawings decorate parts 1 and 2. Part 3 has many b/w photos. Front cover in colour, the rest in b/w.

With over 2000 square feet our store has become a favourite shopping destination for visitors and locals.  Located just off the market square, we are easy to find for shoppers and anyone bringing donations, including by car (CA12 5EZ on SatNav).


Like most of Keswick the shop is open every day except Christmas Day and also has an extensive range of items available 24/7 with nationwide delivery through the Oxfam Online Shop.


Our Keswick store offers a wide selection of pre-owned collectibles, homewares, clothing, linen, jewellery, books, music, vinyl, photographic and even small electrical items.


Like many Oxfam shops we also stock ethically sourced new products, gifts, cards and Fairtrade food.

We will be please to accept donated items on any day and can always help with unloading. We accept almost any category of donated items including small electrical items but are unable to handle large items of furniture. Please contact the shop if you need more advice about donating goods.
