On Foot Through Africa

£9.99

Product description

When Ffyona Campbell vowed to walk around the world, she stood by that vow.

On Foot Through Africa tells the very personal story of Ffyona's two and a half year trek across the continent, from South Africa to Morocco, taking in the relationships she made along the way, to the prejudices she faced. Between 1991 to 1993 she risked murder, rape, was mistaken for a cannibal spirit, suspected of being a slave merchant, stoned and mobbed, but she found peace within herself, learnt traditions and skills from local women, and her campsite became home when she fell in love with one of her drivers.

Published in 1994, this copy is signed by the author on the title page. Apart from a small triangular tear at the bottom left of the front dust jacket and minor pencil marks on the inside free page, all other pages are clean and the binding is tight. Full colour photos of the author's journey appear near the centre of the book, all of which are in very good condition.
